Dr. David developed the ARTC from a conceptualized public-private partnership program, focusing on remanufacturing capabilities in 2012 to a full-fledged A*STAR Research Institute in 2017, focusing on translational advanced manufacturing and remanufacturing R&D with the industry. Under his leadership, the ARTC grew from a team of 6 core staff to over 250 core staff today. David established the ARTC industry membership framework and spearheaded the signing of the legal membership agreement, spanning across an initial 19 companies in 2013 to over 70 industry members in 2019.
David has published over 50 journals, conferences, patents and book publications. His publications have attracted over 1300 citations with an H-index of 20. He is also on the board of governors at Singapore Polytechnic and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He is a Fellow and Chartered Engineer of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and a Senior Member of the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES).
Dr. Justin Dauwels is an Associate Professor of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. He also serves as Deputy Director of the ST Engineering – NTU corporate lab, which comprises 100+ Ph.D. students, research staff and engineers, developing novel autonomous systems for airport operations and transportation.
His research interests are in data analytics with applications to intelligent transportation systems, autonomous systems, and analysis of human behavior and physiology. His research on intelligent transportation systems has been featured by the BBC, Straits Times, Lianhe Zaobao, Channel 5, and numerous technology websites. Besides his academic efforts, the team of Dr. Justin Dauwels also collaborates intensely with local start-ups, SMEs, and agencies, in addition to MNCs, in the field of data-driven transportation, logistics, and medical data analytics.
Dr. Yupiter HP Manurung is the Professor and Director of Smart Manufacturing Research Institute (SMRI) as well as the head of Research Interest Group: Advanced Manufacturing Technology (RIG: AMT) at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in UiTM, Shah Alam. His main research interests are dealing with advanced welding technology, additive manufacturing as well as numerical computation. He has been publishing high impact journals and Scopus-indexed conference papers/proceedings and is actively collaborating in research and academic with various international and local universities as well as industries. Apart from that, he is also Professional Engineer (Ir BEM), Professional Technologist (Ts MBOT), Chartered Engineer (CEng IMechE), Corporate Member (MIEM) and International Welding Engineer (IWE IIW).
Lim Boon Choon is the President of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence in the Asia Pacific market outside of China. He holds an MBA degree from University of Strathclyde, UK and Master of Engineering and Bachelor of Engineering (Hon) Degrees from National University of Singapore.
Boon Choon joined Hexagon in 2012, after spending more than 20 years in the process industry, where he served in various capacities leading the business in Distributed Control Systems, Transmitters, process analyzers, PLCs and controllers. He was stationed in China from 1995-1997 and subsequently moved back to Singapore where he led businesses in the Asia Pacific for several years.
Mr. Dharmarajan is Executive Vice President & Managing Director - Manufacturing Intelligence India. In this role, Mr. Dharmarajan is responsible for the India sales operations for the Metrology and Production Software portfolios, as well as MSC Software and Q-DAS. He also oversees the MSC Software Indo-Pacific regional business operations across India, ASEAN, Australia, and New Zealand. He joined MSC in 2007 establishing the company’s first sales office in the region. Before MSC Software Corporation, Mr. Dharmarajan was responsible for successfully setting up the MatrixOne operations in India. Prior to MatrixOne, he worked with Wipro and SDRC (now Siemens PLM). At SDRC he was the recipient of numerous technical & sales excellence awards and played a vital role in the success of SDRC in the country. Mr. Dharmarajan completed his MS in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore. He is based in Bangalore and calls the garden city his home.
Ms Priyanka is the Project Manager at Energy Research Institute and the Program Manager for Transportation Analytics with Dauwels Lab at NTU. She works closely with both academicians and industry partners and manages projects relating to autonomous vehicles, transportation simulation and other smart transportation areas. She has technical & managerial background in GIS and Computer Modelling & Simulation. Her key interests lie in urban sustainability and the role of AI in future mobility.
Dupuis holds a degree as "Diplom" engineer in aerospace from Stuttgart University. He began his professional career in 1995 at Eurocopter, Germany in the field of flight simulation for engineering purposes. Dupuis co-founded VIRES in late 1996 and began working full-time as General Manager of VIRES in 1998. He has been with VIRES ever-since and is fully dedicated to participating in the development of VIRES software.

Michel Pereme is the Director of Global Business Partners of Simufact, a Business Unit of MSC Software. Michel started his career at Transvalor, a French material forming simulation company where he held various positions in Business Development and Marketing. During his time at Transvalor, he developed operations in Europe and Asia. he wrote and presented several technical papers at world class conferences such as International Forging Congress and AsiaForge. Subsequently, he started his own company as a Business Partner for US-based SFTC company, introducing DEFORM in the French speaking countries in Europe, and writing different articles in the French journal « La Forge ».
Over the past 3 years at Simufact, Michel has developed successfully the Channel Partner Operations in the EMEA region. Since February of this year, Michel has been promoted as a Director, Global Channel Business, bringing his 20-year experience in the field of material forming simulation to Simufact customers.
Syam possesses an exceptional track record in management, product development and sales of solutions & software for the Engineering and Simulation domain. He is experienced in CAD, CAM, CAE, and PLM, and has been recognized for being a competent, diligent and persistent advocate when interacting with technical and non-technical internal and external business users and customers.
Rajagopalan is responsible for Software, Engineering Services business and customer success in ASEAN. He is a highly accomplished Regional Sales Manager with +20 years’ industry exposure & extensive experience driving B2B sales of simulation software with responsibility for 6Mn USD sales pipeline. He is commercially orientated with astute Channel Intelligence; deep expertise in defining & executing highly effective Channel Sales Strategies and guiding multi-cultural teams. Rajagopalan is a gifted communicator; having leveraged strong communication skills to serve as a keynote speaker at various seminars and translate complex technical information across all organizational levels.
Amit brings with him 22 years’ professional experience, the majority of which is in B2B Sales Management, Strategic Pricing and Business Control for India and Asia Pacific region. Most recently, he worked as Head of Strategic Pricing for a German Automation company in Singapore.
He is very familiar with the manufacturing industry through his 17 long years’ experience with the Swedish cutting tool company Sandvik Coromant in sales and general management in India and Asia Pacific region. He also possesses 4 years’ experience in manufacturing with a very well-known Indian automotive company. During his career, he has successfully performed various roles as sales process leader, sales manager, channel manager, key account manager, strategic pricing manager and business controller at the national and regional level. Amit has a Bachelor of Engineering in Metallurgy and has completed an International Management Program from the Stockholm School of Economics, Fuqua School of Business and Duke University
